What is Grid Quest?
Grid Quest is a game of deduction, luck, and hiding. It turns the concept of a "random picker" on its head: instead of the computer picking a winner,the players pick each other.
How to Play
- Hide: At the start of the round, every player chooses a secret tile on the grid to hide behind.
- Seek: Players take turns clicking tiles on the shared grid to "search" for others.
- Win: If you find someone hiding behind a tile, they win the round! (Or, in reverse mode, they are eliminated).
Why it works for groups
Grid Quest engages everyone because you are both the hunter and the hunted. You want to find others, but you also want to stay hidden (or be found, depending on the stakes!).
- Suspense: As tiles are cleared, the chances of finding someone increase drastically.
- Strategy: Do you hide in the corners? Or right in the middle? Do you search patterns or randomly?
- Fairness: Everyone gets a turn to search, making the outcome feel earned rather than just computed.
